The toys are mistakenly delivered to a day-care center instead of the attic right before Andy leaves for college, and it’s up to Woody to convince the other toys that they weren’t abandoned and to return home.
Toy Story happened in 1995. Toy Story 2, 1999. Pixar finally came up with the third installment 11 years after. The long wait meant that the kids who were there when Toy Story 1 and 2 happened are no longer kids when 3 was released. It feels good that even though technically, Toy Story 3 is a movie for the kids, it catered mostsly those then kids during the 90’s.
Toy Story 3 made me feel that separation from the young me and accepting the fact that I am no longer a kid. That when we were young, toys solved all our problems but now, we have to deal with a lot of stuff like college and real life. We all see ourselves in Andy’s character. That is the reason why almost all the 90’s babies who watched this film were more affected than those who were not there when the first two were released.
I don’t know about you but that one of 103 minutes of my life. Even for just 103 minutes, I felt like that kid again who was in the movie house 15 years ago.
PS. You may have heard of it but here are the Toy Story 3 Easter Eggs. Enjoy and be mind blown.
